Glorb Shines Bright — Raises Millions on Kickstarter

Datum: 9 April 2024

Glorb, which is part of Brewhouse Inkubator, is in the middle of its Kickstarter campaign and reached 2.2 million SEK in just 24 hours. Now, after a week, they have raised over 3 million SEK and have been backed by more than 1,800 people.

“It feels really great that so many have supported the campaign in such a short time. You never really dare to hope for such an impact, but it shows that there is a great interest in our Glorbs,” says Alexander Osika, founder and CEO of Glorb.”

Glorb is a smart and versatile lighting solution for homes, venues, and offices where the animated light can be set to react to sound and create an atmosphere that suits any mood.

"The innovative aspect of Glorb is that it is a smart light source and a living sculpture that is app-controlled and can not only react to sound but also be connected with multiple units to create visual experiences."

After working hard to launch the crowdfunding campaign, which is still active, Alexander can already see that it has been worth all the time and energy spent, and that there are several advantages to raising capital through crowdfunding.

“As a startup, it is somewhat of a dream scenario to raise capital for the company through sales rather than investment, especially at an early stage. Through the campaign, we gain early adopters who not only prove to us that our product meets a need they are willing to pay for; it also gives us the opportunity to get feedback from customers early on and develop our Glorb together with them based on their input.”
