For sustainable startups

New innovative business ideas can contribute to the societal transition. At the same time, sustainability perspectives in the business model have a positive impact on both business and investment opportunities. Read more about how we support our startups in their sustainability work.

From big words to
focus areas

We sometimes heard our startups talk about sustainability as something big, fuzzy and unattainable. Work that tended not to get done because they didn’t know how to integrate the 2030 Agenda into their business idea and business model.

Against this background, we carried out a Vinnova-funded project, Sustainability Scaleup, to acquire good tools to support the companies. Tools that help our startups to identify their own focus areas based on the global sustainability goals.

What does it mean for our start-ups?

The project resulted in the companies in the Brewhouse Incubator receiving tools that help them identify which sustainability areas can be linked to their own operations and integrated as a natural part of the business model. Today, in addition to Sustainability Scaleup, we also work with the SDG Impact Assessment Tool as a tool for the companies’ sustainability development.
