2025 – A Year in Review at Brewhouse Inkubator

Datum: 30 December 2025

2025 was an intensive and eventful year for Brewhouse Inkubator – filled with meetings, ideas, travel and collaborations that together show how music tech continues to take its place within both the innovation system and society at large.

Early in the year, we received an important confirmation of our long term work when Brewhouse Inkubator was reaffirmed as an Excellent Incubator within Vinnova’s national incubator programme. A recognition that strengthens our ability to support scalable music tech startups across Sweden.

Throughout the year, we moved between local, national and international contexts. Our teams and startups participated in everything from Music Tech Sessions at Google in Stockholm and Copenhagen, to Creative Tech X in Stockholm, Almedalsveckan, TechBBQ in Copenhagen, Slush and Music Tech at Slush in Helsinki, as well as Live at Heart in Örebro.
We also took part in Sveriges Innovationsriksdag, Gothenburg Tech Week, CultTech Summit in Vienna and MIRAC 2025 in Gothenburg, where technology, culture and research met in important conversations about the future.

At the same time, our startups took major steps forward. Throughout the year, new solutions and ideas were presented in many different formats – from OZMT’s VST plugin at GotGuitars, to SLOVE at Sónar Barcelona, and focused strategic development work together with Funki through recurring Startup Jungle workshops on Björkö.

Two of our startups, Vocalise and Funki, were also granted support through Vinnova’s Innovative Startups programme – a clear sign of both quality and potential in their continued development.

We also saw entrepreneurs in our ecosystem take initiatives beyond traditional formats. One example is Chain of Sounds, which hosted Nordic Bass Fest, an international festival dedicated to the double bass and its global community.

The year was rounded off with strong energy at our own Spring Meetup and Autumn Meetup at Brewhouse Inkubator, where pitches, demos and conversations highlighted the breadth and strength of our community. At the same time, we strengthened our organisation by welcoming new team members and by joining Keychange, as a step towards increased gender balance and inclusion within music tech and the wider tech industry.

Thank you to all startups, partners, collaborators and people we met throughout 2025.

Now we look ahead.

Towards 2026.
