Nordic Bass Fest ’25 – Chain of Sounds steps into the spotlight with a new live initiative
Datum: 2 July 2025
With the launch of Nordic Bass Fest ’25, Chain of Sounds takes the next step in its journey – from a testing ground for bass gear to a physical gathering point for musicians, tech lovers, and curious ears.
The initiative is led by Nisse Palm, founder of Chain of Sounds – one of Brewhouse Inkubator’s music tech startups. His platform is primarily aimed at double bass players, with the ambition to become a digital hub for comparing microphones, pickups, preamps and other gear. Electric bassists are also welcome – especially so-called doublers who play both instruments.
The new initiative takes shape in the form of a festival: Nordic Bass Fest ’25, held in Gothenburg on 26–28 September, featuring concerts, workshops, exhibitions and talks. Among the guests is a world-class double bassist – a major name in the genre, visiting Sweden for the first time in this context.
“This is a natural next step. We’re building a platform for bassists, but we also want to create real-world encounters. Nordic Bass Fest is a place where knowledge, inspiration and sonic ideals come alive.”
– Nisse Palm, Chain of Sounds
The festival takes place at Surr Arena in Gothenburg, and tickets are now available via nordicbassfest.com. In addition to the concert program, the festival features a gear zone where attendees can explore and test equipment from leading manufacturers. The goal is to combine listening, learning and hands-on experimentation – just like the Chain of Sounds platform, but IRL.
Exclusive concert
As part of the weekend, Nisse Palm has also secured a world-class trio for an exclusive concert at Johannebergskyrkan in Gothenburg. Renowned double bassist Edgar Meyer will, for the first time in Europe, perform with violinist Tessa Lark and cellist Joshua Roman – three musicians at the absolute top of their craft.
A must for string nerds, bass enthusiasts, and lovers of great music.

Nordic Bass Fest is a clear example of how a startup in an incubator setting can explore new revenue streams and grow its brand by blending digital content with real-world experiences.
